(Don't) Keep the Home Fires Burnin'

On Dec 4rd, 2002, we were granted a major focus change at 1:30am in the morning.

Paula woke me, asking if I smelt smoke, and when I made my way down stairs, I found our entertainment center enveloped in flames. It was already too much to fight with a home extinguisher, so I hollered for her to call 911 and get the kids out.

We all made it out safely, including our cats, but we never slept in that house again. It was a long 6 months cleaning up and settling with the insurance. The Lord has blessed us beyond comprehension with friends, provisions and support.

This is where it started.

These walls WERE white

Same room that the fire was in, but the opposite wall. Looking at the door frame you can tell how far down the smoke was from the ceiling.

All our appliances were a complete loss.

All my computer equipment.

At one time it was white.
